Addressing parents, teachers and students during Annual General Meeting at Sirisia Bok Secondary School, Webuye West Sub-county Director of Education James Thuma, asked the parents to also guide the learners on importance of having extra studies while at home for the holiday.

Thuma lauded teachers at the school for working hard to have the institution produce good results in last year’s KCSE.

He further challenged the parents to pay school fees on time to enable the school run smoothly.

The school Principal Benjamin Sikuku said he took over the school at the time the institution was in slumber but he is doing his best to return it on a national map.

He noted that the main challenge is lack of infrastructure and poor fee payment.

“We got challenges but we will do our best to produce good results and I urge cooperation from parents,”observed Sikuku.

The principal promised to apply his experience to uplift academic standards of the school.

Sikuku is credited of changing fortunes of the school the shortest period he has been at the helm of administration.

Also in attendance was Misikhu Ward MCA Milly Masungo who asked parents to seek for bursaries as early as possible.
