Bungoma KNUT race to replace ambassadorial appointee narrows as contestant drops out

Ken Nganga was appointed as Ambassador to the UAE. The race to replace him as Bungoma South KNUT Executive Secretary has narrowed as one candidate withdraws in favour of Kennedy  Luketelo.

KNUT  Bungoma  Branch  Vice  Chairman  Augustine Watamba has  dropped out of the race for  Bungoma   South  Branch  Executive  Secretary  post to  replace  Ken  Nganga  Milimo,  who  was  appointed by President  William  Ruto   as  the  Ambassador to  United  Arab  Emirates.

Addressing  the   press  in  Bungoma  town,  Watamba  said he  is  going  to  rally  behind  the  candidature  of  Kennedy  Luketelo   from  Bumula  Constituency, suggesting that the decision was reached after wider  consultations  with  other  tutors   and  area  MP  Jack  Wanami  Wamboka.

According  to  Watamba,  they  have only  one chance  for  the  seat   and he  is  convinced  that  Luketelo  is   equal to the task. He promised to champion  for  the rights  of teachers in his current position.

On  his  part,  Luketelo  has  welcomed  the  move  to  support  his  candidature,  promising  to  represent  teachers  on issues  diligently  if  elected.
