Makueni County Director of Education Charles Nyakundi has noted a smooth start to KCSE in the region, revealing that a total of 30,330 candidates – 15523 girls and 14807 boys – are sitting.
There are a total of 424 exam centres; 29 private and 395 public.
Speaking after the opening of examination container, Nyakundi called on all those manning the exams to exercise top integrity and observe time to the end.
He added that all the candidates were in their centres, expressing hope that all will go well and praying for their good health throughout the period.
“We wish all the candidates the best and pray that God grants them good health,” Nyakundi said, noting that since there are no rains, there will be weather interruptions.
