Teachers of national schools are no different from the rest. If anything, all teachers are trained in the same training institutions, so there are no special colleges that train national school teachers.
Similarly, the posting of teachers is not based on one’s performance at the training school. It is rather random. There is no criterion for assigning teachers. Thus, teaching in a national school does not necessarily make you the best teacher. In fact, just like in other categories of schools, there are mediocre teachers in our national schools.
In the education sector, there is a pervasive notion that certain schools or teaching assignments confer a superior status upon educators. However, the truth is far more nuanced.
