The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has highlighted issues on why some of the contracted professionals who administered the 2024 national examinations are yet to receive their payment.
KNEC indicated that one of the major reasons for the non-payment is a mismatch between the name on the CP2 Form and the name registered with the phone number used for M-Pesa transactions, making it difficult for the examination body to send payments.
Another issue causing delays in payment is the absence of the ID number or the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) / Pension Fund (PF) number. Additionally, missing documentation, such as attendance registers, either were not submitted or were submitted without the required official stamps.

Some contracted professionals were also not deployed in the CP2 portal, despite having worked. Other contributing factors include slow responses to KNEC’s requests for data facilitation and the late delivery of accurate and complete data for contracted professionals.
The professionals have been urged to check the KNEC website and social media accounts for information on what needs to be done to resolve these issues and ensure payment.
