Western Region best selected ahead of national drama festivals

Western region has compiled the final list of its competitors in the forthcoming national drams festival to be held on April 10-17, 2024 that will take place in University of Embu and Kangaru School.

In the play category, Kamusinga High, Vokoli Girls and Bunyore Girls High qualified for the Nationals while Kivaywa Boys, Eregi Girls and Mbale Boys will represent the region in the cultural dance category at the Nationals.

Mukumu Boys, Budalangi Boys and Chavakali Boys will represent take the region in modern dance category. And Bungoma High, Senende Boys and St Claires Maragoli Girls will show their prowess in choral verse.

The solo verse category will be performed by Vihiga Boys, Tigoi Girls and Erusui Girls whereas narratives will feature St Clairs Maragoli, Friends School Kamusinga and Vokoli Girls. Namachanja High and Vokoli girls won Spoken words actegory.

In the mime category St Mary’s Burumba, St Teresa Girls and Lumakanda High while solo dance will be performed by Goibei Girls, Lugulu Girls and Bishop Gutungu Girls as stand -up comedy is taken to nationals by Inaya Secondary and Mitua Girls.
