West Pokot County residents are still in mourning after the sudden passing on of a brilliant Engineering student studying at Taita Taveta University College.
Gibson Limo, who was laid to rest on Saturday, January 3, lost his life while under medication in one of the hospitals in Taita Taveta.
While being raised by a single mother, Monica Chepar, at their home in Cheposait, Kapenguria, his academic brilliance led to him attracting public interest, becoming a household name and an example to younger students.
Prior to joining the college where he was studying Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering, 29-year-old Limo had sat his KCPE examinations at Tilak Primary School before proceeding to Chewoyet National School for his secondary education.
The clergy together with politicians from the area streamed the home to condole with the family.
