US Bishops visit West Pokot to check on community projects under their sponsorship

Legislators and American Bishops in Talau

Bishops from United States of America have started various projects in Talau area, ranging from provision of safe drinking water to assisting 150 orphans and vulnerable children in the area.

Speaking during the function, the area Member of Parliament Hon Samuel Moroto thanked the area bishop Richard Mutuwa, an erstwhile street child who was rescued beating all odds to become a bishop. He has worked tirelessly to give back to the community. The Bishop added that, ‘Service to Humanity is Service to God”.

Leader of the USA delegation, identified as Dr Don, disclosed that they had travelled thousands of kilometers from their home to come celebrate with Talau residents and assess projects that required additional funding.

Present during the function, was the woman representative Hon Rael Aleutum, Professor John Lonyangapuo and Hon Esther Serem among other important guests.
