Often, we have great and mighty teachers who are neither recognised by the school administration nor the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) but go out of their way to ensure peace and harmony in the staffroom.
Such teachers keenly listen to the socio-emotional demands of the teachers and maintain confidentiality to reach a consensus among teachers who may have disagreed.
The teachers, famously known as the backstage crew, are usually instrumental in ensuring that all the expected school agenda is implemented without a hitch. Apart from perfecting their class work, they work behind the scenes to ensure that the objectives of the counselling department are achieved.
These notable disputes are normally put under the carpet. The highest organs of the school remain unaware of these. On the contrary, teachers highly esteem such organisations since if the despite goes overboard, it might lead to severe disciplinary action by the TSC organs.

Additionally, these teachers even help resolve domestic issues that affect fellow teachers, using their experience and ingenuity to the satisfaction of the members.
The school administration must secretly identify these good teachers so that they can encourage and empower them even further.
Surprisingly, despite only being recognised by fellow teachers, these bigwigs believe that they owe their allegiance to God and not man.
These teachers are referred to as uncle or aunt and are given very noble space in the staffroom.
The arbiter teachers do influence very pertinent decisions among the teachers. They are indeed the real cog of learning and resource among the teachers.
Interestingly, they don’t brag or chest thump; they strictly operate under the radar.
When such teachers are transferred unknowingly, the education systems in the school mysteriously cave in.
If a transfer of any kind is needed from one station to another, the Teachers Service Commission should hold wide consultations before it is effected.
