Schools in Malava Constituency will, starting next financial year 25/26, benefit fully from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF).
Addressing the locals during the just ended public participation led by the constituency fund manager Humphrey Sechero and Malava NGCDF chairperson Everlyne Wawire, the committee confirmed that plans were underway to ensure that each Ward has two schools with storey buildings and two buses as one way of equitable distribution of the resources.
“As a committee, we have agreed with the MP that it will be easier to set up storey buildings in our schools as it not only gives a good facelift but also increases enrollment. Besides it is the new norm in schools; most …with buses and storey buildings have high enrollment,” he said.

According to the fund manager, there was the zeal to equip all the sub-county schools with all the necessities raised in their proposals but the guidelines given by the government on how NGCDF should be utilized – for only those falling under the three categories of education, security and climate change and mitigation – limited them.
