The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has transferred Jacob Wamisiko to head Lwandeti D.E.B Secondary School in Matete sub-county, Kakamega.
Prior to the transfer, Wamisiko had been the Principal at Lwandeti Friends Secondary School in Malava sub-county.
While at the school, he spearheaded a raft of significant improvements, both in academic and co-curricular activities.
Wamisiko replaces Edwin Ayira who has been transferred to another school in the same county.
In his new station, he promised to work together with teachers, the community and the Board of Management to ensure Lwandeti D.E.B remains a pinnacle of academic distinction.
In the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), the school topped the sub-county with a mean score of 5.25, registering 58 students with direct university entry points.
However, Wamisiko has assured stakeholders that he will double the number of entries in this year’s national examinations.
