Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has transferred secondary school principals in Murang’a ahead of schools reopening for second term tomorrow.
Also, the teachers’ employer has promoted some of the deputy principals in the county.
The long-serving Ichagaki Mixed Secondary School principal Andrew Maina has been moved to PK Secondary School.
He is taking over from John Mwangi.
Maina said he was thankful for steering transformation at the institution for the last 15 years. “I am leaving Ichagaki Mixed School with a student population of 660 after I found only 66 students, 16 years ago,” he said.

Principal Julia Muturi Kamahuha Girls has been transfered to Musa Gitau in Kiambu to take over from Rhoda Wamaitha. Veronica Mwai takes reins at Kamahuha Girls.
Wamaitha moves to Nginda Girls in Maragua in the same capacity.
TSC has also moved Kamahuha Girls deputy principal Hannah Wangari to Koimbi Mixed Secondary School in Kahuro Sub-county.
Also, deputy principal Danstan Ngare of Mweru Secondary in Kiharu, has been transferred to Gaitheri Secondary School to take over from Ngaruiya who moves to Vidhu Ramji Secondary in Murang’a town.
And Senior Chief Girls, Kiambu, deputy principal takes over at Karuri Gakure Secondary in Kangema to replace Rose Kihara.
