Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has joined the rest of the country to mourn the death of 17 children in a fire at Hillside Endarasha Primary School in Nyeri County.
In a statement issued on September 6, 2024, the commission sent condolences to the family and friends of the victims of the horrific tragedy.
“The Teachers Service Commission sends its heartfelt condolences to the parents, families, friends, teachers and the entire community of Hillside Endarasha Academy in Nyeri County for the painful and horrific fire tragedy that led to the death of innocent learners and left many others nursing injuries,” the statement reads in part, wishing the 14 recuperating at Mathari Mission and Nyeri County Referral Hospital a quick recovery.
TSC further urged teachers working at the institution to cooperate with the multi-agency teams that are responding to the disaster.
