The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has rubbished the rumours that it has released letters for the 24,000 teachers who were successful for promotion, noting that the process is still ongoing.
A senior officer at the Commission who talked to Education News stated that the Commission hasn’t even completed the selection criteria for competitive promotion, while Common Cadre promotion is done daily.

“That’s not true. We have yet to complete even the selection criteria for competitive promotions. Common cadre, on the other hand, is done daily,” said the officer, who wished not to be mentioned due to the sensitivity of the matter.
TSC last year advertised a total of 24,000 promotion positions for teachers, which is expected to be done in phases, with the first phase targeting 5,690 teachers while the second phase targeting 19,000 teachers.
