The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has given a detailed report on the number of school heads to be promoted per category in the 19,943 job vacancies advertised.
In a notice, TSC CEO Nancy Macharia said that they are looking for 44 Chief Principals (Regular School) of T-scale 15 and grade D5, 3 Chief Principal (TTC) of T-scale 15 and grade D5, 126 Senior Principal (Regular School) of T-scale 14 and grade D4, 3 Senior Principal (TTC) of T-scale 14 and grade D4, 652 Principal (Regular School) of T-scale 13 and grade D3 and 3 Deputy Principal I (TTC) of T-scale 13 and grade D3.
TSC is also looking for 786 Deputy Principal II (Secondary School) of T-scale 12 and grade D2, 13 Senior Lecturer I (TTC) of T-scale 12 and grade D2, 1,408 Deputy Principal III(Regular School) of T-scale 11 and grade D1, 32 Senior Lecturer II (TTC) of T-scale 11 and grade D1, 2 Senior Master II (secondary SNE) of T-scale 11 and grade D1, 1,987 Senior Master III (Regular School) of T-scale 10 and grade C5, 61 Senior Lecturer III (TTC) of T-scale 10 and grade C5 and 6 Senior Master III (secondary SNE) of T-scale 10 and grade C5.
TSC is also looking for 2,221 Senior Master IV of T-scale 9 and grade C4, 70 Senior Lecturer IV (TTC) of T-scale 9 and grade C4, 184 Secondary Teacher I(Diploma teachers only) of T-scale 8 and grade C3, 7 Lecturer 1 of T-scale 8 and grade C3, 254 Senior Head teacher (Regular)of T-scale 11 and grade D1, 7 Senior Head teacher (SNE) of T-scale 11 and D1, 2,130 Head Teacher (Regular School) of T-scale 10 and grade C5, 33 Head Teacher (SNE Primary School) of T-scale 10 and grade C5, 3,653 Deputy Head-teacher II (Regular Primary School) of T-scale 9 and grade C4, 33 Deputy Head-teacher II (SNE) of T-scale 9 and grade C4 4,703 Senior Teacher I (Regular Primary School) of T-scale 8 and grade C3, 77 Senior Teacher I (SNE Primary School) of T-scale 8 and grade C3, 1,364 Senior Teacher II (Regular Primary School) of T-scale 7 and grade C2 and 81 Senior Teacher II (SNE Primary School) of T-scale 7 and grade C2.

The TSC had earlier advertised positions of Chief Principal, Senior Principal, Principal, Deputy Principal, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer, Senior Master, Secondary Teacher 1, Senior Head teacher, Head teacher, Deputy Head teacher and Senior Teacher.
The CEO urged interested candidates, who meet the required qualifications, to submit their applications online.
Applicants are directed to submit their applications through the TSC portal www.teachersonline.go.ke which should be received latest 30th December 2024, at midnight.
Applicants who had earlier applied for Advert 1 to 4 of 2024 which run from 12th to 18th November, 2024 are encouraged to apply.
The CEO has also warned that manual applications shall not be considered, adding that successful candidates will be posted where vacancies exist.
