After the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) noticed an anomaly where staff do not use formal channels of communication, it has instituted a ban on use of personal emails for official communication.
In a memo dated September 26 2024 sent to all ICT staff signed by Director of ICT Cyrus Kamau, the commission brings to the attention of employees that personal emails cannot be applicable for official communication.
The director pointed out that official emails are available, and should there be any difficulty, employees are free to raise the issue with their superiors.
“The directorate has created emails for official use by all staff and the same should be communicated by county ICT staff to secretariat and teachers under their jurisdiction. You are required to raise my challenges experienced in activation with officers at the headquarters responsible for official emails. This is brought forward by your attention and compliance. ”said the director.
