TSC announces how sub counties will share 5862 vacancies for primary teachers

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the distribution of 5,862 primary teachers to the counties to address the staffing disparities in the education sector.

The TSC distribution of teachers seeks to bridge the gap in staffing across counties and aims to enhance education delivery in densely populated regions. The allocations are a commitment by TSC to equitable teacher distribution ensuring all learners have access to quality education.

The new deployments are expected to alleviate existing challenges in the Kenyan education sector.

Baringo County will get 154 teachers distributed in sub counties including Baringo Central which will get 38, Baringo North 32, Koibatek 32, Marigat 20, Mogotio 30, Tiaty East and Tiaty West each receiving one.

Bomet will be allocated 80 teachers with Bomet Central having 17, Bomet East 11, Chepalungu 18, Konoin 13 and Sotik 21.

In Bungoma 203 teachers will be distributed as follows: Bumula 12, Bungoma Central 27, Bungoma East 10, Bungoma North 22, Bungoma South 24, Bungoma West 19, Cheptais 6, Kimaeti 7, Kimilili Bungoma 15, Kopsiro 4, Mt. Elgon 15, Tongaren 26 and Webuye West 16.

In Busia 125 teachers will be deployed with Bunyala receiving 12, Busia 19, Butula 23, Nambale 10, Samia 21, Teso Central 10, Teso North 21 and Teso South 9.

Elgeyo Marakwet they will get 90 teachers distributed to Keiyo North which will get 17, Keiyo South 30, Marakwet East 16, and Marakwet West 27.

Embu will get 162 teachers where Embu East will receive 33, Embu North 17, Embu West 16, Mbeere North 34, Mbeere South 62. In Garissa 7 teachers will go to Balambala having one, Garissa four and Ijara two.

In Homa Bay 135 teachers will be employed with Homa Bay getting 22, Mbita 14, Ndhiwa 22, Rachuonyo North 17, Rachuonyo South 11, Rangwe 19, Ranyuonyo East 14 and Suba 16.

In Isiolo,10 teachers be hired, Garbatulla will get three and Isiolo seven. In Kajiado, 83 teachers to serve in Isinya which whas been allocated 12 slots, Kajiado Central 19, Kajiado North 18, Kajiado West 12, Loitokitok 15, Mashuuru 6 and Elang’ata Wuas having one.

In Kakamega, 282 teachers will be distributed with Butere getting 40, Kakamega Central 19, Kakamega East 19, Kakamega North 22, Kakamega South Ikolomani 23, Khwisero 17, Likuyani 31, Lugari 31, Matete 8, Matungu 21, Mumias East 18, Mumias West 26 and Navakholo will have seven.

In Kericho, 130 teachers will be distributed to Belgut (Kericho West) which will receive 21, Bureti 28, Kericho/Ainamoi 24, Kipkelion 15, Londiani 19, Soin/Sigowet 23.

In Kiambu, 241 teachers will share slots as follows; Gatundu North 22, Gatundu South 26, Githunguri 28, Githurai 5, Juja 20, Kabete 16, Kiambaa 10, Kiambu 13, Kikuyu 16, Lari 16, Limuru 22, Ruiru 6, Thika East 10 and Thika West will receive 31.

In Kilifi, 110 teachers will be allocated with Ganze receiving 14, Kaloleni 12, Kilifi North 14, Kilifi South 15, Magarini 18, Malindi 27 and will have Rabai 10.

In Kirinyaga, 131 teachers will go to Kirinyaga Central which will have 30, Kirinyaga East 28, Kirinyaga West 29, Mwea East 21 and Mwea West getting 23.

In Kisii, 153 teachers will share posts where Kitutu Central will have 16, Etago 12, Gucha 8, Gucha South 12, Kenyenya 16, Kisii Central 14, Kisii South 16, Marani 10, Masaba South 26, Nyamache 14 and Sameta 9.

In Kisumu, 176 teachers will make their way Kadibo which will get 10, Kisumu Central 13, Kisumu East 16, Kisumu West 31, Muhoroni 37, Nyakach 36, Nyando 14 and Seme 19.

Kitui reaps big

Some 301 teachers in Kitui will be distributed to Ikutha which will bag 11 slots, Katulani 18, Kisasi 14, Kitui Central 27, Kitui West 37, Kyuso 14, Lower Yatta 22, Matinyani 14, Mumoni 7, Mutito 7, Mutito North 13, Mutomo 18, Mwingi Central 21, Mwingi East 21, Mwingi West (Migwani) 29, Nzambani 16, Thagichu 3 and Tseikuru 9. Kwale will get 76 teachers with Kinango having 11, Kwale 24, Lungalunga 13, Msambweni 11 and Samburu 17.

In Laikipia 111 teachers will be distributed to Laikipia Central which will get 12, Laikipia East 27, Laikipia North 4, Laikipia West 28 and Nyahururu 40 while Lamu will get 13 teachers with Lamu East getting four and Lamu West 9.

Machakos will get 263 teachers distributed to Athi River which will receive 13, Kalama 16, Kangundo 23, Kathiani 18, Machakos 28, Masinga 36, Matungulu 32, Mwala 55 and Yatta 42.

In Makueni, 215 teachers will go to Kathonzweni which will get 23, Kibwezi 36, Kilungu 8, Makindu 15, Makueni 20, Mbooni East 27, Mbooni West 31, Mukaa 27 and Nzaui 28. In Mandera, four teachers will be deployed to Kiliwehiri  and Kutulo each will get one and Mandera East will have two.

In Marsabit, eight teachers will be deployed to Laisamis which will get one, Loiyangalani one as well, Marsabit Central three, Marsabit North, Sololo and North Horr will get one.

In Meru, 241 teachers will be distributed with Buuri East getting 18, Buuri West 9, Igembe Central 27, Igembe North 14, Igembe South 12, Imenti North 35, Meru Central 33, Imenti South 51, Tigania Central 15, Tigania East 8 and Tigania West will have 19.

In Migori, 136 teachers will be employed where Awendo will receive 15, Kuria East three, Kuria West six, Mabera five, Ntimaru four, Nyatike North 19, Rongo 31, Suna East 23, Suna West 8, Uriri 19 and Nyatike West will have three.

In Mombasa, 56 teachers will be employed with Changamwe receiving four, Jomvu seven, Kisauni and Likoni each 10, Mvita 13 and Nyali 12.

Some 250 teachers will get new jobs in Murang’a with Gatanga receiving 22 slots, Ithanga/Kakuzi 20, Kahuro 27, Kandara 43, Kangema 13, Kigumo 20, Mathioya 23, Murang’a East 31 and Murang’a South 51.

TSC will hire 167 teachers in Nairobi with Dagoretti receiving 13, Embakasi 33, Kamukunji eight, Kasarani 31, Kibra eight, Lang’ata eight, Makadara 20, Mathare 5, Njiru 16, Starehe 13 and Westlands 13.

Nakuru County has been allocated 289 slots where Gilgil will have 18, Kuresoi North 14, Kuresoi South 22, Molo 18, Naivasha 34, Nakuru East 34, Nakuru North 46, Nakuru West 18, Njoro 28, Rongai 27 and Subukia 30.

Nandi has been given 137 posts. Chesumei gets 22, Nandi Central 27, Nandi East 19, Nandi North 27, Nandi South 27 and Tinderet 15.

The Commsion has intends to hire 81 in Narok which will be distributed as follows Narok East eight, Narok North 18, Narok South 12, Narok West 10, Transmara West 23 and Transmara East 10.

Nyamira has been allocated 76 teachers will be distributed with Borabu bagging nine, Manga 11, Masaba North 13, Nyamira North 22 and Nyamira South 21.

Also, TSC will employ 145 in Nyandarua. Kinangop Sub-county receives 16, Kipipiri 24, Mirangine 13, Nyandarua North 36, Nyandarua Central 19, Nyandarua South 14 and Nyandarua West 23.

Nyeri will welcome 214 new teachers will be distributed to Kieni East receiving 34, Kieni West 35, Mathira East 26, Mathira West 23, Mukurwe-Ini 29, Nyeri Central 24, Nyeri South 19 and Tetu 24.

The county of Samburu has been allocated 21 slost. Samburu Central will welcome 13 new teachers, Samburu East and Samburu North each receives four.

Siaya will have 183 new teachers with Bondo getting 30 slots, Gem Wagai 16, Gem Yala 14, Rarieda 29, Siaya 42, Ugenya 20 and Ugunja 32.

The Commission also has allocated 51 for Taita Taveta with Mwatate having 16, Taita nine, Taveta 10 and Voi 16 while In Tana River has 29 slots where Bangale  has one, Tana Delta 16, Bura (Tana North) two and Tana River 10.

Tharaka Nithi will get new 117 teachers. Igamba Ngombe gets 10, Maara 39, Meru South 19, Tharaka North seven and Tharaka South 42.

In Trans Nzoia, 104 teachers will be distributed to Endebess  which will have five, Kiminini 29, Kwanza 16, Saboti (Trans Nzoia West) 16 and Trans Nzoia East 38.

Turkana welcomes new 13 teachers will be distributed to Loima which has four, Turkana Central five, Turkana East one, Turkana South one and Turkana West two.

Uasin Gishu County has 132 slots. Anabkoi receives 14, Kapseret 11, Kesses 24, Moiben 25, Soy 34 and Turbo 24 while Vihiga gets 88 teachers distributed as follows: Emuhaya 10, Hamisi 29, Luanda 13, Sabatia 22 and Vihiga 14.

In Wajir 13 teachers will be deployed to Buna, Habaswei, Kutulo, Wajir North and Wajir South each getting one slot while Wajir East will have eight.

And in West Pokot 56 teachers will be hired with Kipkomo welcoming 10, North Pokot two, Pokot Central nine, Pokot South seven and West Pokot 28.
