Education News sought to get the motivation behind the schools from the county shining in regional and national arena. Among them is Strong fan base filling stadia whenever institutions are playing.

This was witnessed recently when StJosephs met with arch rival 2023 national champion St Anthony Boys high school during the county meeting finals at Kipkeikei secondary school.

According to Vic Kosgei, a sport enthusiast, support by the county government has also come in handy. “Governor Natebeya supported St Anthony when the qualified for Nationals 2023 he did the same this year when JOBO scooped the county title. It is this incentive that motivates the students to put in their best” he remarked.

Last year, Kesogon girls, St Anthony’s boys and Wiyeta Girls represented the region in national ball games in volley ball, soccer boys and girls respectively. The county produced the best player Adrian Kibet who played for St Anthony Boys. Kibet secured a place in a Spanish soccer academy.
