Police have retrieved the bodies of two JKUAT students who tragically drowned while swimming at the Titanic dam in Kiambu County.
According to reports, community members from Muthuga in Juja sub-county alerted authorities about the incident around 1600 hours on Sunday.
The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Abel Ontuga Mikaye and 21-year-old Dansteph Matoke.

Despite efforts to rescue them, both students succumbed to the water.
Responding quickly, police from Juja secured the scene, and the bodies were subsequently transported to General Kago Hospital Mortuary in Thika for post-mortem examinations to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities have cautioned the public to exercise greater care when engaging in water-related recreational activities, noting that the dam is known for such incidents; earlier in January 2023, two other individuals drowned at the exact location.
