Insecurity remains a major threat to education along the Kerio Valley Belt, with many schools posting poor results in national exams.
However, that is not the case with Tot secondary school, which recorded impressive results in 2024 KCSE exams despite the insecurity.
In the results, over 60 students attained results enabling them to have direct entry into university.
School Director Julius Changwony welcomed the success, attributing it to teamwork and discipline among students, most of whom hail from the locality.
“Despite the challenges, we posted good results and we are so happy. As a school, we believe in discipline and teamwork,” he said.
Changwony, who was flanked by other stakeholders, revealed that the school’s mean score improved to 6.76, where the top candidate had a mean grade of B+ with the lowest score being C-, attained by 6 candidates.
“Our school’s mean score improved to 6.76 this year which is a great improvement as compared to last year. As a school we believe in teamwork and hardwork,” added Changwony.
