Michael Warutere, the 2023 KCPE top candidate nationally, who scored 428 marks has been selected to join Mang’u High School.
The former Riara Schools pupil said that after completing his secondary education, he aspires to become a Software Engineer.
Education CS Ezekiel Machogu officially announced the secondary school placement results for the 2023 KCPE on Monday.
Out of the 1,406,557 candidates who took the exam, Warutere is among the 1,400,329 students who secured spots in various high schools across the country.
A total of 1,415,325 pupils were registered for the KCPE exam, but only 1,406,557 candidates sat for it.
According to Machogu, 8,525 candidates scored between 400-500 marks, while 352,782 candidates scored between 300-399 marks.
Additionally, 658,278 candidates attained between 200 to 299 marks and 383,025 candidates scored between 100 to 199 marks. Lastly, 2,060 pupils scored between 001 and 099.
