Four students killed in accident after being sent home over dormitory fire

Dr Aggrey Boys High School mourns death of three students.

Four students from Dr Aggrey Boys’ High School in Wundanyi Constituency, Taita Taveta County, were among those who died today after the bus they were traveling in was involved in an accident.

The minibus they traveled in encountered brake failure and crashed at the dangerous Josa bend along the Wundanyi-Mwatate road.

The students were returning home after a fire incident at their institution which forced the school administration to send learners home.

A parent who had gone to school to pick up the child and the driver of the minibus also lost their lives.

The survivors were rushed to Moi Referral Hospital in Voi for treatment, with others taken to St Joseph Mission Hospital in Voi.
