The teaching fraternity in Laikipia County was engulfed in deep shock after learning about the death of their own on Friday, March 7.

According to Laikipia Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teacher (KUPPET) branch executive Secretary Robert Miano, the late Ndichu, branch Vice Chairman, was a very dedicated teacher to all people, including his students, teachers and the Union.

“Our dedicated Vice Chairman died suddenly at home,” he said.

In a message of condolence seen by Education News, alerting the members of the vice Chairman’s demise, the Executive Secretary wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that I report to you the passing away of our very dedicated teacher, Stephen Ndichu Kimani, a teacher at Nanyuki High School. We are devastated by the sudden death of a dedicated servant of teachers.”

“We will keep the public posted on the arrangements that will follow,” reads part of his condolence message as he wished the departed’s soul to rest in peace.
