Suspected murderer of two sisters in Kajiado arrested after two-week manhunt

Dennis Munguti is accused of murdering his two nieces in cold blood two week ago in Kajiado North.

Police have finally arrested a man who is accused of murdering his two nieces in cold blood two weeks ago in Lekuruki village, Ngong, Kajiado North Sub-county.

The 35-year old man who was identified as Dennis Munguti was arrested on Tuesday night in Olkeri Ward, five kilometres from Ngong where the murders took place.

The man was identified by members of the public who alerted the police.

The suspect was living with a student in a neighbouring secondary school, who was also arrested.

The two sisters; 4-year old Pauline Wanjiku and 6-year old Bridgit Mukulu, were murdered in their house, as their 19-year old aunt survived the attack and is currently in a critical condition in hospital.

The children were in their grandmother’s house when they were attacked by the man at around 11am.

A neighbour, Mwajuma Kakai, said they heard screams but thought the children were playing. When she went to the house she stumbled upon their bodies in a pool of blood.

Ngong police said the man will be arraigned in court to face charges of murder.

The family has been seeking for financial support for medical expenses of the 19-yr old survivor.
