A note left behind by Douglas Mogaka, the 32-year old teacher at Kenya High School who committed suicide on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, has been found.

In the note, Mogaka accuses his boss of causing him severe embarrassment, which he said contributed to his distress.

The late Mogaka was tragically found dead, hanging from a tank ladder within the school compound.

The initial investigation into his death has not yet clarified the exact circumstances leading to his decision, but the suicide note has prompted further scrutiny.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the situation to determine what might have led to his tragic end.

Mogaka was laid to rest yesterday in Bosigisa village, Nyaribari Chache sub-county.

While speaking to the press, Mogaka’s students described him as a dedicated and self-driven person.

This incident has sparked conversations about mental health and workplace pressure in Kenya, as it highlights the serious consequences of unresolved personal and professional struggles.
