Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera has urged students to work extra hard so that they can register good results in national exams.
Speaking at Kivaywa High School during a church service, Nabwera emphasized to all learners that there is no secret to academic success other than consistent hard work and discipline.
The MP noted that despite challenges facing education sector, students should do their best while in school.

“I am well aware of the challenges facing CBC, but these can only be addressed if the government intentionally posts Junior Secondary (JS) teachers and releases funds to build classrooms for Grade 9,” he added, reiterating the crucial importance of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF) as helping disadvantaged families which cannot fund their children’s education.
Nabwera noted that with prudent management of these funds, regions historically marginalized by successive governments can achieve meaningful development.
At the same time, he underscored the need to abolish the punitive and discriminatory new university funding model, advocating for a return to the previous, more equitable system.
