The police in Homabay have started investigation into the cause of the death of a Form Four student at Orero Boys High School in Rangwe Sub-county.
According to the class mates of the deceased, he excused himself to the latrine at dawn but never returned.
The delay led the classmates to make a follow up to the latrine where they found his lifeless body hanging from the roof.

Homabay County police commander Samson Ole Mine confirmed the sudden death.
He said that preliminary investigations indicate the boy hanged himself on Tuesday March 19 morning because of the previous disagreement between him and his father who visited the school on Monday to know his academic progress.
“The meeting between his father, teachers and the deceased who discussed his poor academic progress might have stressed him and decided to take his life,” said the police commander.
When Education News tried to reach the principal of the school Dicken Bula, the phone calls went unanswered.
The body of the deceased was moved to Homabay Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
