The National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has highlighted the National Government Constituency Development Fund’s (NGCDF) key role in improving educational infrastructure.
He spoke at the opening of a new tuition block at St. Stephen Namasoli Secondary School in Khwiseroo Kakamega County.
Wetang’ula, who was hosted by the area MP Christopher Aseka noted that the NGCDF enhances the learning environment essential for academic success.
He urged that these funds be used strategically to strengthen Kenya’s education system.
He also addressed the alarming rise in abductions and unexplained deaths, calling for urgent action from investigative authorities.
“Criminals must not destabilize our nation or threaten our safety,” he emphasized.
Additionally, Wetang’ula praised President William Ruto’s efforts to restore peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo, warning that regional instability could impact Kenya’s economy.
He stressed that a stable DRC is vital for East Africa’s prosperity and security.
He advocated for a focus on quality education, national security, and regional stability.
