Solar-powered water pump installed in a school in West Pokot

An ultra-modern solar powered water pump system has been expertly installed at Jerusalem Comprehensive School in West Pokot, a project of the county government.

In his address to a mammoth crowd at Tamugh during the special offering, Governor Simon Kachapin thanked the architects of the project, which he termed as an exceptional one.

“The solar-powered water system is reliable and eco-friendly and would go a long way in ensuring that many agricultural activities are done as well,” he said.

He said the county government was fully committed to providing unlimited access to clean and safe water to all residents.
