Nimrod Mbai, the Member of Parliament for Kitui East and Chairman of UDA in Kitui County, has made a significant move to enhance technical education in the region.
On Monday evening, he presented Kitui East Technical and Vocation College (TVC) with a cheque worth Ksh 2.4 million, a contribution to improve the institution’s infrastructure and overall growth.
In a major boost to technical education, Mbai also promised an additional Ksh 120 million to equip the institution with modern training facilities.
This project aimed to improve the quality of education and skills training at the institution, increase employment opportunities for youth, and develop youth economics in Kitui.

He asked the youth to prioritize education and skill-building and encouraged them to participate in constructive dialogues and show respect for national leaders, including President William Ruto.
He said: “This investment is about securing the future of our youth. By providing state-of-the-art training facilities and practical skills, we are unlocking major opportunities and ensuring they are well-equipped for the job market.”
The funding is expected to elevate Kitui East TVC into a premier institution for technical education, positively impacting hundreds of students.
Mbai ressured his commitment to youth empowerment and regional development through this project.
Educators, students, and local leaders have broadly embraced the move, which they view as a transformative step for the region’s education sector.
