Residents of Egechini in West Mugirango in Nyamira County were enshrouded in deep mourning this morning after learning about the sudden death of one of their daughters in University.
According to her Rongo University colleagues, the deceased was a first year student pursuing a course in Kiswahili and Religious studies.
“Annet Mong’are Nana, met her death through a fatal road accident in her Nyamira home,” said Redoyo Kigrod, one of her colleagues.
Among her colleagues from Rongo University fraternity who mourned her include Meshack Ochieng who said death had again taken one of their beloved colleagues after taking two more others in the last three weeks.

One of Nyamira County University Students Association Rongo Branch member, who identified himself as Joseph Agwata, cursed the brutal death that took the young soul at its prime age.
He appealed to all motorists to be more careful on roads in order to avoid the deaths of many people through road carnage.
Effort by this reporter to trace the hospital mortuary where the body was taken for preservation did not yield fruits as the next of kin were petrified to release the information.
