Shock as JSS teacher commits suicide in Bomet

The late was newly employed JSS teacher.

A sombre mood engulfed Kabisimba village in Bomet County when the body of a newly employed Junior Secondary School (JSS) teacher was found hanging from the roof inside family toilet.

According to his wife who identified herself as Nelly Bett, her 38-years-old husband left their house at dawn for a biological call at the toilet but never returned.

“He took long at the toilet forced me to make a follow up but was shocked to find the still body of my husband hanging from the roof of the toilet,” narrated the tearful wife.

The bizarre death was confirmed by Chepalungu Sub-county Police boss Phanton Analo, who said that the body had no any serious physical injuries except on the lips.

“The lips have physical bruise which might have occurred during the struggle when he was breathing last,” he said.

Analo said that the police had started investigations to establish the cause of the death.

The deceased did not leave any suicide note behind to explain cause of his alleged suicide.

The police commander said that the body was taken to Longisa Hospital Mortuary for preservation pending police investigations.

Benson Langat of Nakuru AIC church appealed to all people to speak their problems to close family members to help them solve instead of remaining secretive and finally get overweight and resort to commit suicide which causes big loss on them and their families.
