Schools affected by TSC transfers in Kisii named

Secondary Schools in Kisii County are among the affected lot in the ongoing countrywide transfer of teachers.

According to a circular from the Kisii County Director of Education Philip Chirchir, Principals are to hand over their offices to their successors immediately.

In a letter signed by Kipkurui Kirui on behalf of the Director, Sub-County Directors are directed to conduct handovers at Nyamache, Kenyenya, Kisii Central and Masaba North sub counties.

The exercise continues today at Kisii South, Etago and Sameta sub counties.

In Nyamache Sub-county, the schools affected include Ekeonga, Nyabite, Ebiosi and Usena Mission secondary schools.

Nyisia and Ibeno Secondary Schools in Kisii Central Sub-county will get new Principals too.

Other affected in the changes are Riabigutu and Geteri PAG in Masaba South.

Kisii South Sub-county will have the Principals of Genga DOK St Raphael Nyangena and St Andrews Mogumo transfered to new stations.

Tabaja Township and Nyamonaria schools in Gucha South will get new Principals as well as Eramba, Nyakeyo and Nyabworoba heads in Marani Sub-county will move to new stations.

Kebabe SDA Secondary whose students were allegedly involved in last year’s KCSE examinations also have their Principal moved to another institution.

In the list of transfers of Principals are Nyatwoni and Maroo Esinde and Nyacheyo secondary schools from Etago Sub- county as well as Nyaguku Secondary from Sameta Sub-county.

The Director’s letter further advises the affected Principals to treat the transfers as routine exercise and not a punitive measure and report to their new stations in readiness for serious work.
