Girimacha Primary School Headteacher Mr. Nguma Nyiro.

The Board of Management (BoM) of Girimacha Primary School in Malindi sub-county has called on the government to allocate funds for the construction of a science laboratory for its Junior Secondary School (JSS) section.

Speaking to Education News in his office, Headteacher Nguma Nyiro revealed that students in JSS were having a hard time learning effectively due to insufficient facilities including the science laboratory.

Nyiro further called on the government to allocate additional funds to fence off the school’s land to keep potential land grabbers at bay.

The Headteacher also said that the school lacks a kitchen, and urged education stakeholders in the area to unite and consolidate funds to construct one to ensure 100% school attendance among learners from humble backgrounds.
