School in Makueni needs additional classroom to accommodate Grade 9 learners

The government has been urged to consider adding more Grade 9 classrooms due to expected influx of the learners.

Speaking during the resumption of Term One academic year, Principal of AIC Malivani Comprehensive School Joshua Mutuse appreciated the government for constructing two classrooms for them but still noted that they need one more for smooth learning.

“We highly appreciate our government through the Ministry of Education for the classrooms. It’s important to add that we have enough books provided by the government,” Mutuse said.

He noted that the learners have reported well and learning starts immediately since the duty roster is ready.

“For those in Grade 9 we target to enroll 120 and currently we have 105. We expect the number to rise since many parents are coming to secure space,” said the headteacher.
