It is sad news as the media fraternity in Kisumu is plunged into mourning following the tragic death of their network chairman Dickens Wasonga in a road accident.
The late Wasonga died along the Kisumu-Kakamega highway after his vehicle crashed into a truck earlier today.
ICT Cabinet Secretary (CS) Eliud Owalo was among the people who went to view the body at the morgue. He described the late Wasonga as a likeable person.
Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo and Media Council of Kenya (MCK) CEO David Omwoyo sent messages of condolences to his family and friends.
Several journalists rushed to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue where the body was taken for preservation.
Kisumu City Manager Abala Wangar, who was present, said the late Wasonga had many friends.
