Examination results of a total of 840 candidates who sat for the 2024 KCSE has been cancelled over suspected exam cheating.
This was announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba who released the examination results in Nairobi today.
The CS also said examination of a total of 2,829 candidates who sat for the 2024 KCSE has been withheld over suspected exam irregularities pending completion of investigations.

“The cases are under investigation which will be completed in a period of 30 days from the official release of the examination which is today,” the CS said.
Ogamba said 91 professionals who were contracted by KNEC are under investigations in connection with aiding examination malpractices.
“It is unfortunate that a few contracted professionals and teachers are still ruining future of our learners by subjecting them to examination malpractices,” he said. He said actions will be taken to the individuals involved.
The ministry had come up with major reforms to enhance the credibility of Kenya’s education system.
