Speaking after he inspected the newly refurbished classrooms on Wednesday, January 15, the MP said the infrastructure status of most local schools was wanting, making it difficult for students to perform well.

“Through the schools upgrade programme, we have renovated classrooms, built new ones as well as other facilities including modern lavatories in more than 27 schools. The work is still ongoing as we seek to motivate our learners and improve education standards,” the MP said.

Parents and teachers at the school lauded the initiative saying it will go a long way in restoring order at the institution that had seen many learners transferred to private schools.
