Some four universities in the country have announced several high flying vacancies.
This is as per the Public Service Commission (PSC) an agency which is responsible for recruiting and selecting Vice Chancellors, Deputy Vice Chancellors of Public Universities and Principals and Deputy Principals of Constituent Colleges, under the Universities Act, 2012 (No. 42 of 2012) section 35(1) (a)(v) as amended in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2018.
In an advertisement seen by Education News, PSC announced the Vice-Chancellor’s positions for Maasai Mara and Kaimosi Friends Universities.
Kaimosi Friends University is also looking for a Deputy Vice-Chancellor in administration, finance and development sector.
In addition, Chuka University has two posts for deputy Vice Chancellors to under; administration, finance, planning and development and academic, research and student affairs.
Further, Kibabi University is also seeking to recruit a deputy Vice-Chancellor in academics and student Affairs.
“Applications should reach the Commission on or before August 28, 2023, latest 5.00 pm (East African Time),” the advertisement read.
