Detectives have launched an investigation to unmask how a dormitory at Highway Secondary in South B suburb, Nairobi was razed down by fire yesterday evening.
As per the Nairobi police commander Adamson Bungei, who confirmed the incident, no injuries were recorded even though the incident rendered some 80 students in the school helpless as they were using the story building.
“The biggest dormitory at the school was burnt down. We suspect arson but investigations are on-going to get more information,” he said.

The police boss lauded the fire brigade from Nairobi County who arrived at the scene and joined in efforts to contain the spread.
He added that the affected students were moved to a different location for accommodation.
The management has held a meeting to discuss the way forward as the investigations go on.
At the time of reporting the school had not revealed the amount lost as a result of fire.
