Baringo North legislature Joseph Makilap and professionals from the area have vowed to team up and support education in the constituency.
The Member of Parliament who spoke at Moi Boys High School Kabartonjo during a thanksgiving ceremony hailed move by alumni to fully support the education.
Bursaries were also issued during the event and also a five-year strategic plan for the constituency was launched.
He said the ex-students have teamed up to establish Baringo North Education Trust (BNET) aimed to provide scholarships abroad to needy and bright students from the area.
He said the establishment which will be launched by President William Ruto June this year and will be a game changer in education and challenged the community to support it.
‘‘We are pleased to announce that we have received major boost from our senior Epidemiologist Nelly Yatich based in South Africa who will arrange for scholarships for our best four students at Havard MIT Health Sciences and Technology, prestigious university in the United States.

We are forging way forward to be at par with most performing constituencies in the country through our new endowment fund,’’ said the legislature.
The Member of Parliament lauded teachers, students and education stakeholders in the area for their pivotal role to realise good results in last year’s KCSE.
