Funeral preparations for the late Kaplong Secondary School Principal, Mike Yator, are in full swing at his residence, Eureka Farm in Kapmauwa Village, Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
On Tuesday, a fundraiser will be at the Kaplong Boys School compound.
On Wednesday, March 12, the body of the late principal arrives at school for viewing. Then, next Friday, March 14, burial service and laying to rest will take place in Kapmauwa village, Eureka farm.
The late principal, Yator, was found dead in his residence on March 4.

KUPPET Vice Chair for Bomet Peter Bett confirmed the incident after visiting the school, expressed his disbelief, and urged the school community to remain calm.
According to those who had interacted with the principal, he appeared well and jovial on Monday as he welcomed students returning from the half-term holidays
“He worked tirelessly while receiving the students until he retired at around 9.30 pm, mentioning that he was a bit tired before going to sleep,” added Bett.
The following morning concerned staff noticed his delay in reporting to his office and checked on him at his residence. They found his lifeless body. The body was later transferred to Siloam Funeral Home in Kericho County.
