Poror Football Club are Baringo County champions in the just concluded U- 19 Talanta Hela touney that happened at Kabarnet High School.
Team Poror trounced Cardinal Sharks from Baringo Central at a penalty shootout ending the over spirited Ewalel Chap Chap boys bow at last.
In the girls U-19 category, Ewalel Chap Chap Rising Stars were declared winners after rivals’ team from Eldama Ravine failed to participate in penalty shootout forcing FKF official to give starlets a nod.
Speaking during the competition the County Executive Committee (CECM) Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services Maurine Limashep CECM lauded teams and fans for showing up in numbers to support budding talents .
The County official said the Talanta Hela Program is a platform that needs to be embraced from grassroots level for it plays significant role in identifying and tapping sprouting talents.
She said that County government was fully committed in support of rich talent through diverse agendas geared to realize and make the department a full-fledged.
The CECM reiterated talents from all the participating teams were scouted during the tournament to represent the county in the road to talent search at the national level.
The Talanta Hela program is Kenya Kwanza Government Bottom up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) aimed at nurturing, recruiting, marketing and monetizing array of talents.
