Fifteen needy candidates at Shitira Primary in Chemuche ward, Malava constituency have received a donation of examination materials ahead of the upcoming Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).

Philanthropist Edgar Busiega, through his initiative, identified the needy candidates who lacked geometrical sets, logbooks and clipboards among other necessities and delivered the items to the school.

Busiega, who is also an alumnus of the school and a practicing Lawyer, stated that he was touched when he was informed that there were candidates who were about to sit for the final examination but lacked the necessary items since they hail from humble backgrounds.

He further gave out Ksh20,000 to the management to ensure that the candidates have access to breakfast and lunch during the exam period.

“I got concerned when I heard that some candidates from my former primary school were in dire need of these items and I felt obliged to assist them,” he stated.

The alumnus, who was accompanied with other former students of the school, encouraged the candidates to be serious in their revision and have discipline to achieve success not only in school but also in the outside world.
