Education CS Julius Ogamba has revealed that 1,313,913 learners will sit KPSEA Grade 6 exams, and that the government has laid down adequate strategies to ensure that both this exam and KCSE run smoothly.
Speaking at Kunste Hotel in Nakuru City during World Teachers Day, Ogamba said the government will not allow any from of malpractice, urging the candidates to do their best as per how they have prepared.
“Our Kenyan parents should also be aware they have a key role to play during this examination period; they should not forget their role and wait to harass school heads when their children get poor results. This is the right time to ensure they accord peace to their day school children and support them to enable them achieve quality results in the examinations,” said the CS.

He said any Centre Manager who will be found guilty of participating in malpractices in both public and private schools will face the full force of the law.
Ogamba encouraged all teachers who will involved in the examination process to cooperate with security officers and Ministry of Education officials to ensure KCSE and KPSEA are done smoothly in all schools.
The CS was accompanied by KNUT Secretary General Collins Oyuu, TSC, KESSHA ,KEPSHA and KUPPET officials.
