The Director of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), Naomi Shiyonga, has praised President William Ruto for fulfilling his promise to deliver a school bus to Friends Lugusi Boys in Malava, in honor of the late area MP, Malulu Injendi. Shiyonga made the remarks at the school during the handing over of the bus.
She commended the President’s gesture, which came just a few days after he attended the burial ceremony of the late MP, where he promised to deliver the bus to the MP’s neighboring school in tribute to the late Malulu.
Mama Signal, as she is fondly known by her supporters, emphasized that the Kenya Kwanza administration is committed to ensuring that all schools are equipped with the necessary facilities to foster a conducive learning environment.
“This is a living testimony that our government is committed to delivering on its aspirations, and we should stand by it and support its endeavors. Many good things are coming that will soon transform this nation. As you can see already, the government is working on unifying Kenyans to speak one language on matters of development,” Shiyonga stated.
The director, who is in charge of the Constituency Development Fund, assured the residents of Malava that she would ensure all the pending projects left behind by the late MP are completed through her intervention and the Constituency Development Committee.
“We are aware that our late MP was the vice chairman of the Parliamentary Education Committee, and he valued education deeply. The best we can do is ensure that all ongoing education projects are completed. I know he had a strong and effective Constituency Development Fund Committee that will work with us to see that happen,” she added.
She also called on local contractors to apply for the contracts and employ local youth from the area to carry out the work.
Farouk Kibet, a presidential aide, also voiced his support, stating that soon the Malava CDF Committee would meet with Ikolomani MP Bernard Shinali and his team to plan and ensure the completion of all the late MP’s projects. They will also strategize on how to utilize the funds for the benefit of the constituency.

Samwel Tsimbwela, an aspiring leader and engineer based in Sudan, expressed his gratitude to President Ruto for his noble gesture. He stated that it was a demonstration of commitment and respect to both the fallen MP and the local community.
“We are gathered here today to receive the bus the President promised just two days ago, and this is a true testimony of how William Ruto is committed to supporting education programs. We should support his leadership as Malava people to benefit even more from him, as he has a soft spot for the Malava community,” Tsimbwela said.
