The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) is an annual allocation provided to each of Kenya’s 290 constituencies.
The Kenyan national government sets aside at least 2.5 percent of its annual revenue for this fund.
In 2025, the National Government allocated Ksh 51.8 billion to constituencies, marking a 135.9 percent increase from the Ksh 22 billion allocated in the 2013/2014 financial year.
Since FY 2013/2014, the total amount disbursed to constituencies through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has reached Ksh 435 billion.
For FY 2024/2025, Nairobi County received the highest CDF allocation, totaling Ksh 3 billion, due to its 16 constituencies — the highest number in the country.

Conversely, Isiolo and Lamu counties received the lowest allocations, each getting Ksh 358,883,909, as they only have two constituencies each.
This trend is consistent when examining the cumulative allocations since the onset of devolution in FY 2013/2014. Over this period, Nairobi County received the highest total of Ksh 24.7 billion, followed by Kakamega County with Ksh 18.1 billion.
On the other hand, Lamu County received the lowest total allocation of Ksh 2.9 billion, followed closely by Isiolo County at Ksh 3 billion.
In FY 2024/2025, Kieni and Naivasha constituencies received the highest allocations, with Kieni getting Ksh 206.7 million and Naivasha Ksh 206.6 million.
Meanwhile, Suba South and Budalangi constituencies received the lowest allocations, each receiving Ksh 70.5 million.
