The school Principal Benjamin Muluku said that the school has nurtured so many athletes and academicians at the same time.
“Interestingly, as our students join Form One, they already have a talent and developed interest in athletics. We nurture them and teach as well. There are others who are not students but train in the camp as well,” said Muluku.
Muluku reveals that besides nurturing talents, they ensure early preparations for exams and coverage of syllabus in time.
Asked about what’s so special in the famous training camp, he said, “it’s just a normal field and not even a single thing erected or constructed there.”
“Just the altitude to keep the lungs get used to and maintain the race. If you find the athletes training you will be surprised, very normal and down to earth yet they are international athletes,” Muluku added.
He, however, encouraged athletes and other students in general that it’s important to remember where they came from when successful in life.
