St. Cecilia Girls High School in Funyula Sub-county, Busia, is prepared to break records in this year KCSE examinations.
Speaking yesterday during prayers for the candidates, school Chief Principal Victoria Alukum noted that hope runs deep as teachers have prepared the candidates to face the exams.
“With our target set at 7.5, my teachers have done their best and we are optimistic to surpass that and break the record,” she said.
She said her vision is to triple the number of students getting direct entry to university.
“As so long as still at St. Cecilia Nangina Girls High School, I will do my best to make sure this institution remains to be the region’s academic hub,” she vowed.
The principal told parents, teachers and students that in the near future, Nangina Girls will be a benchmark of academic excellence.
She lauded them, the board and the sponsor church for their unity and cooperation that will surely help them reach their goals.
Fr. Christopher Barasa of Nangina Parish who graced the colourful event told the candidates to face the exam with indefatigable courage.
