Cardinal Otunga Mosocho High School in Kisii was engulfed in a mysterious fire shortly after the release of the 2024 KCSE examinations.

According to insider who sought anonymity for security reasons, the fire broke out in one of the dormitories as the staff led by Principal keenly downloaded the school’s results from the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) portal.

“We all saw smoke and rushed to the affected dormitories,” he said.

Firefighters from Kisii County government responded immediately.
